Work shifts

System>Work Shifts

You can define an unlimited number of work shifts, setting start and finish times for any day of the week. For example, you can setup day, night and grave yard shifts for week days, and one or two weekend shifts. Work shifts automatically code hours work within these shifts according to certain shift rules that you can define in any policy under work shift rules. To define a policy's work shift rules:

1. Navigate to system>policies>named policy>edit>work shift rules
2. Check the shifts you want enabled for the policy
3. Select the prevailing work shift rule for the policy, where shift hours depend on:
4. Each shift worked (if a worker works across two shifts hours are coded exactly by the shift they fall within)
5. Largest shift worked (of all shifts worked on in a day, all hours worked will be coded by the largest shift)
6. First shift worked (no matter if the worker works on two other shifts, all work hours will be coded by the first shift worked)
