Question
Can employees work on multiple crews in the same day?
Answer
Yes.
There are times when, for an employee working on multiple crews on the same day, it appears that foremen are locked out from entering time for that employee.
This issue should only come up when an individual employee's underlying timesheet has been submitted and locked on the Timesheets tab by project accounting, payroll, a general foreman or superintendent.
You will know this because you will have a warning message at the top of the Crew Timesheet saying
"Some rows are locked as the entries (or timesheets) have been submitted."
Note:
The system does allow for the entry and submission of one employee's time on multiple crews in the same day. When an employee is on two different crews, and the foreman for crew 1 does a daily submit of the crew'a time, the employee's underlying individual timesheet always remains open or unlocked so his time can be entered and submitted on another crew.
