How do I restrict a custom report to one user?
Sometimes you might have a user with a lower-level security permission, i.e. with no access to the Approvals, Timesheets, Expense Sheets or Assets and Logs tabs or reporting associated with those system objects. Yet, this user might need reporting access to certain high-level information.
You can restrict a custom report to just this user by making them the owner of the report so it shows up in My Reports for them only. To do this as the System Administrator:
- Navigate to Reports>Tools>Manage All Published Reports
- Click on Change Owner (the icon that looks like a head)
- Assign the report to this user and save.
When he logs in next time he will see the report under My Reports and can use it.
